Every level, all year round
Our research is organised around four questions, and there is room on each of them. We welcome applications from postdocs, PhD students, research assistants, undergraduates and visitors at any time, whether or not a position is advertised.
We care about curiosity and rigour more than a CV that matches a posting exactly.
PhD students
Study through the School of Life Sciences postgraduate programme. Strong candidates can also apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS). Talk to us early, ideally in the autumn before you plan to start.

Research assistants
Hands-on work in molecular biology, sequencing and imaging, and care of our anemone and coral cultures. A good step toward graduate school: our first RA continues to a PhD with us.
